It gives me immense pleasure to review the English translation of 1 st edition of Organon of medicine, by Dr. Mahendra Singh and Dr. Subhas Singh. We congratulate the authors for publishing this inimitable book on Organon of Medicine. The author, the legendary and untiring teacher Dr. Mahendra Singh and young dynamic teacher Dr. Subhas Singh have done a commendable job in providing a unique work to the homoeopathic fraternity. This publication involves immense amount of commitment and hardwork of the authors and is a 'must' for every homoeopathic teacher's library.
All these years, the homoeopathic profession had been following the translation of Dr. C.E. Wheeler. Authors have followed the latest guidelines of translation and interpretation and have tried to rectify even the minor errors in translation of Wheeler by giving a separate note in the prologue which is a useful addendum. The major highlight of the book is that the original German manuscripts are placed by the side of English translation. Teaching faculty of Homoeopathy will be benefitted greatly by this publication as they will be able to explain the concepts in a lucid manner and inculcate homoeopathic principles in the students more rationally. The brief note on precursors of Organon is another important contribution of the book for the students who want to study the history and evolution of Organon.
As teachers of Organon of Medicine, we strongly recommend the English translation of " Organon Of Rational Art Of Healing: Hahnemann's first edition" by Dr. Mahendra Singh and Dr. Subhas Singh to all the Undergraduate and Post Graduate students and the teaching faculty.
